Kerry Trip

17th-19th April... Kerry!

Table quiz

The club will host it's annual table quiz in MacTurcaills on Thurs Apr 2nd... let your friends know by sending them our poster. We raised a lot of money for Mountain Rescue last year (€2,000) and we're hoping to do the same again. Recession be damned! So please try to promote the quiz in any way you can! Outdoors Ireland are kindly sponsoring the quiz this year.

IBL DCU

28th Feb... and it's in Dublin, so travel shouldn't be an issue.

Intervarsities, University of Limerick

21-22nd Feb. Both the bouldering comp on Sat and the lead comp on Sun will be held at the UL wall. There will also be a high profile guest speaker on the Fri night. Unfortunately there are no hostels in Limerick. UL have been speaking to Jury's hotel in the city centre and have arranged the following deal - €59 RO per room per night. Rooms hold up to three adults sharing. If you wish to book with Jurys you need to mention University of Limerick to get these rates. UL have a bus organised to collect you from the hotel and bring you to all the events including fri & sat night entertainment as well as to the competition on both days.

Glendalough Trip

13th-15th Feb we head down to Glendo. We generally stay in the IMC hut as it is cheap and convenient. Names and deposits will be taken after the Ball. Await emails from the trips officers

50th Anniversary

The club is turning 50 and we're having a ball: DUCC's 50th Anniversary Ball, Friday the 30th January in the Davenport Hotel on Merrion Square. This will involve a five course meal, entertainment, gear raffles and auctions and commemorative Club tshirts on sale. It's promised to be the DUCC night of the year and one of the first Balls on the Trinity calendar so your presence is essential! Tickets will be available after Christmas and will be no more than €60 with all proceeds going to the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue (someday you may need their help!). Update: the ball was a huge success - see http://www.climbing.tcdlife.ie/ball-2009/ for more about how it went

IBL Midleton, Co. Cork
